  • Should we do an engagement session?    Yes! Yes! Yes! Not only do we love getting out and using our cameras but an engagement session is a great way for us to get to know each other. Doing engagements makes your relationship with your photographer more intimate and comfortable. It’s also a great way for us to see how you photograph and interact with each other so we’re more prepared for your wedding day. Above all, they’re actually fun… we promise! It may take some prompting to get your better half behind the idea, but we can assure that you’ll walk away happy with the outcome.
  • What’s included in the engagement session?   Our engagement sessions include a shoot with your photographer lasting about an hour at the location of your choosing. We have a number of recommended spots in the metro area that make for great photos if you need ideas. Your session includes 50 4×6 prints and an online gallery for viewing and ordering.
  • How soon will we see our photos? While we constantly strive to exceed your expectations, your images will be online no later than 3 weeks after your event but hopefully sooner!
  • How many locations can we go to on our wedding day?  As many as you wish! Adding multiple stops to your wedding day itinerary adds immensely to your photography. Please feel free to ask for recommendations or to take us to your favorite spots. There is no additional fee so live it up!
  • How do I book La Vie?    If we didn’t send you home with a contract at the consultation we’d be happy to email one to you. You  can consider yourself booked once we’ve received the signed contract and $1000 deposit.
  • Do we own our images?   Absolutely! Your wedding photos will be presented to you as hi-resolution jpg images on a DVD. You’re free to do with them as you wish! If needed, we can also provide you with multiple copies of the event to share with family and friends.
  • Do you offer references? Yes!  Visit the Comments Page.  We are committed to your confidence in us. If there’s anything we can do to assure you that La Vie is the right match for you please let us know and we’ll accommodate your needs. We’ve shot hundreds of weddings and have that many satisfied clients willing to talk to you about our services. For the greatest assurance we suggest getting out for an engagement session to see for yourself who we are and what we can offer you!
  • What are your reprint prices?  Each print is individually color corrected by an experienced imaging professional and printed on the finest photographic paper to insure the best quality from the images captured at your special event. We offer any size prints you can dream up. We can also do digital retouching and enhancements if desired. The most common print sizes are: 4×6 – $4.20 | 5×7 – $6.60 | 8×10 – $12. All reprint orders are satisfaction guaranteed. If for any reason you are unhappy with the quality of your order we will re-do the request at no additional fee.
  • What do you offer for finished albums?       We are always researching the latest trends and styles of albums to carry in our studio. We currently offer a number of different album styles with prices to match any budget. Our clients invest an average of $800-$1500 on their finished albums though we can accommodate almost any budget.
  • What if we need more time at our wedding?    You are our only commitment on your wedding day. If things are running behind that day or you’re just having too much fun and don’t want to send us home, we are always ready and willing to stay! Overtime rates will apply but will not need to be taken care of that night.
  • Do you travel?      We do and we love to! We’ve shot weddings both internationally and across the US. Please call for a custom quote if you’re planning a destination wedding. Locally we offer free travel up to 30 miles from our studio in Minneapolis. For weddings in the Midwest we charge a flat fee of $2/mile fee (one way) for anything outside of this distance.
